I keep seeing everyone post on Facebook what they are thankful for each day of November. I figured I would join in the fun. Since today is November 2nd, I’ll start with my day 1 and day 2 “thankful’s”!

Sofia 9 Months: June/July
Nine months flies by! With all the travels we did as a family and the travel that Daddy F has been doing for work, we didn’t get to start moving into the new house officially, until the beginning of May. Somewhere along the lines a bunch of stuff was “lost” in boxes including chargers, month stickers and other randomness. So, our Fourth of July outfit ended up being our 9 month photo op choice. We missed the 8 month shot, unfortunately.
Sofia is a tummy time champ now and she LOVES sitting up on her own. The problem is she can’t go form laying down. She also loves playing with all her toys. She loves shaking her rattle and making as much noise as possible. She gets very into it.
This rattle is soooo heavy!!! |
July 17th she decided sitting up was a piece of cake and laying down to play is just no fun! She is sitting like a champ. Only problem, she hasn’t quite figured out how to get to a sitting up position solo. I’m enjoying the fact that she still needs Mama for at least that part. I’m so proud of her new achievement and a little bummed that this is just the first step in being much more independent. I have a feeling there are many moments of dual emotion to come.

Daddy’s First Father’s Day!!!
June 17th- – Daddy F has been traveling a ton leading up to his 1st Father’s day. Sofia and I were super excited about having him home and celebrating him with a nice relaxing weekend. Sofia “made” aka smiled pretty, for her gift for her Daddy. We made a frame with D-A-D-D-Y and Sofie posing with each letter. She wasn’t a big fan of my stopping her from trying to eat the letters but we got some adorable shots! Her frame is going to look great in his office. His big gift was a Father’s day/late 30th bday gift and we got him an iPad. He was super excited about his frame and his new toy.
