A couple weekend ago before our household got hit with the nasty virus going around, we went to an event that was right up Sofia’s alley. It was “Neighbor Day” with Daniel Tiger hosted by the Winter Park History Museum.
The kids got a chance to meet Daniel Tiger and got to participate in a number of activities. The theme of the activities was being a “good neighbor”. They made cards and gift bags for other sick children. They planted flowers, decorated a thank you card for someone special.
We packed a lunch and had a picnic, or tried too! There is NOTHING more distracting to a toddler trying to eat than tables full of activities and tons of other little people running around the area. It was totally worth it to see her excitement over meeting Daniel. It was “Grr-rific”!
