Nine days in to the 21 day straight blogging challenge. Only 10 days till my baby turns 1! Where has the time gone?!

Nine days in to the 21 day straight blogging challenge. Only 10 days till my baby turns 1! Where has the time gone?! 

Getting ready to enjoy a fantastic weekend with family. TGIF to all.

Verdict: Tubes

Add us to the long list of parents with littles suffering from ear infections. Sofia has had chronic, bilateral ear infections starting in September. Just weeks before her 3rd birthday. Oddly, this should be the age where any ear infections start decreasing instead of starting up. After months of failed attempts, we were revered to an ENT.

We had the appointment with the ENT today to test her hearing and middle ear. She’s flat lined on the left ear and has a negative reading in the right which means she has a vacuum created by all the fluid. Our recommendation is tubes in both ears. 
I understand this is a very routine procedure, in and out. However, they will put her under and I don’t think there’s anything more nerve racking than having your baby under anesthetic and away from you. I had a great vibe with the doctor, I’m great flu for that. 
Apparently, her micro preemie beginning is rearing it’s ugly head.

Some Days Just Come Together

There are plenty of days that are filled with tantrums and tears. Times when everything seems to be falling apart and patience runs thin. Today wasn’t one of those day. I started the day with just my little man and a short Pilates session in the living room.

Then, big sister woke up and after breakfast we had a yoga session where Sofie joined in. The little man thought downward dog was a great opportunity to play peek a boo and pull my ponytail. Not the most zen yoga session I’ve ever had but definitely the one with the most giggles.
We all went to the farmers market for lunch and grabbed some vegetables for the week and played at the park. We wrapped up with family dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s and another park trip. There were moments for corrections here and there but overall the day was great. 
These are the moments I wish I could bottle. Snapshots of time where everyone is on their “A game”. Days like today make all the hard days worth the “struggle”. And because I didn’t have my phone on me much throughout the day, I didn’t get many actual pictures…sigh.
