I took a little hiatus recently which ended up lasting much longer than anticipated. I wanted to take some time for the family and take a break from blogging but that turned into a bad habit of not logging on to blog. Anyway, I’m using this holiday season as a way to bounce back and re-update the blog.
First things first, for those who follow this blog but are not friends in “real life”, we have a big announcement….
That’s right, we are expecting baby #2 in February and it’s a baby BOY! We are over the moon and excited to add this new bundle to our family. We revealed the gender at Sofia’s 2nd birthday party at the end of September because with busy schedules, it’s hard to get family and friends together in one place.
Sofia doesn’t fully understand the concept just yet but we are talking to her about it often so that it isn’t too much of a shock if possible. She has been pretending with her dolls more and more and I know she will be a great big sister and baby brother will have quite a time keeping up with her.
I’m currently 24 weeks along and just a little over a week and one day away from the gestation I delivered Sofia. Needless to say, I still find myself holding my breath as we approach that marker. I’ll update a separate post on what our plan consists of to keep this little boy baking.
It’s been a crazy last few months and I look forward to updating all that’s gone on and all the craziness we are getting ourselves into as the holidays approach.
